For Objects, I asked friends, family and other participants to choose a few objects that they live with and that are special in some way: sentimental, frequently used or just interesting looking. I photographed the objects in the room that they exist. The photographs are then put into grids based on common characteristics of the owners or the objects themselves.
I've approached this project with a psychological interest. I'm interested in what objects people that share characteristics choose. For example, do artists choose ascetically interesting objects? Do older people choose sentimental things? The living space itself is also of interest. Do introverts have more colorful walls? The objects serve as a totem or punctum of the owner’s life.
